WANT: PLATFORM SHOES

Every blogger I read seems to have platform shoes, so I decided I need some too! I'm looking for the flatform ones first, and then I'm sure I'll move on to heels and platform heels.

I ordered a pair from Aliexpress about a week ago and they haven't come yet, but when they do, I'll do an unboxing post.

If you all aren't familiar with Aliexpress, it's this wholesale website that has some really cool stuff, some fake stuff, and supplies for making other stuff.  Essentially, it has everything. It is a little sketchy, so check the feedback before you buy anything.

I received this camera for Christmas from my parents and I absolutely love it! I mean, who wouldn't? It's so freaking cute! I brought it to my New Year's Eve Party (pictures still to come), and everyone loved taking cute little souvenir photos on it. I love the different films and borders I can buy, as well as how portable the actual camera is.  Seriously a great investment :)

I wore this dress to the Black Keys show in December. It was so great because it's thin and comfortable and easy to wear and adorable. It's really flouncy and fun to twirl in. The sad thing is that Free People is going to discontinue it soon, so I'm probably going to splurge and buy it in every color.

The bottom picture is from a party I wore the dress to.  The boy in front is my darling boyfriend, Carson.  Such a cutie :)

MUSIC MONDAY 7

Hi everybody! I've been slightly addicted to making collages now.  I really like using the stickers I can find on Tumblr (follow me here) and making a fun background.  This week, I went with classic feel-good rock songs.  I mean, I don't know anyone who doesn't like "Wonderwall."  I think the best time to listen to this playlist would be in the shower, or when you feel stressed and tired after school/work.

So I finally took Carson to the museum with me. It was certainly an interesting experience. I love going to the museum, mostly because I like to look at the modern art and the 60s-era furniture. I'm taking an AP Art History course right now, so I guess I've learned to appreciate art more. I just think it's really relaxing.

Carson had never been to the museum with me, so he was certainly in for a treat. Lucky for him, there was a giant jazz concert in the main wing, and he loves jazz, so he could listen while we walked. They were actually really good! 

After the museum, we went to dinner at Genki, the best noodle restaurant ever! It looks like a little hole in the wall, and is actually in a strip of nasty little bars, but the food is delicious. They have gourmet sushi and noodle bowls. Seriously, its delicious.

This week so far has been really stressful. For you non-Americans, junior year in American school is really hard. Not because the course load is vigorous, but because you have to get the highest possible GPA before you apply to college. I am hoping to get some pictures taken this weekend for future posts so that I can have those ready for y'all!

MUSIC MONDAY 6

For this week, I thought it would be fun to make a Music Monday playlist instead of just a song.  These songs are probably foreign to all of y'all.  I would genre these songs as "chillstep" or "psychadelic" (hence the collage).  They certainly are a few of my favorites, even though I tend to listen to more mainstream music most of the time.  If you happen to be bored or feeling really philosophical, listen to "Dreams" on full blast.  It's really empowering.

INSTANT GRATIFICATION

So I know these are pretty late, but here are some of the Polaroids I took on New Year's Eve at our party. We had a lot of fun, and by the end of it, I'm pretty sure it was totally worth it.  Although we had some ups and downs, a party pooper, and a needy attendee, I think our party was a success!

JANUARY WISHLIST

I've decided that in the new year, I am going to wear a fabulous outfit every day. (Read: on the weekends because we were uniforms to school.)  So, in order to do that, I must have fabulous items.  My mind set is: if I only have great pieces, I can only wear great outfits, right?  So hopefully I'll be able to stick with that :)
